bubbly.jpgYountville has never been hotter, and - fittingly - visitors to this popular Wine Country hamlet have never had better options when it comes to things to do. In this spirit, read on for a wine tasting itinerary starring four of the town's top vinous haunts; we're sure you'll find plenty more reasons to call this a hot spot once you've tasted its best in red, white and bubbly.

goosecross.jpgGoosecross Cellars
A six-minute drive northeast from downtown Yountville takes you to our first recommended stop, Goosecross Cellars.  Founded in 1978, this artisan-sized winery offers a wide selection of wines to taste and top-notch, hands-on visitor programs like Wine Basics classes (Saturdays at 10:30am, year-round) and Estate Winegrowing Tours (Saturdays at 2pm May through October). Visitors rave about the intimacy of the Goosecross experience: This is a spot where you're likely to feel like a part of the family, even on your first visit.  Yes, please!

Beau Vigne Winery
Get back in the car for the short drive back to Yountville, where you'll find Beau Vigne Winery's brand spanking new tasting room (it opened July 1, 2010) conveniently located in the northern part of town.  A Cabernet house producing muscular reds from the eastern hills of Napa Valley, Beau Vigne is an exciting newcomer snaring rave reviews from Robert Parker.  Visitors can expect to pay $20 to taste four wines, including three Napa Cabernets and a Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley; happily, tasting fees are waived with purchase.
Tasting room: 6795 Washington St., Yountville CA 94599 * (707) 947-7058

chandon3.jpgDomaine Chandon
Once you've wrapped up at Beau Vigne, scoot across Highway 29 and under the gracious arched entryway to Domaine Chandon, easily one of the most visually stunning tasting stops in the valley.  The American outpost of Champagne star Moët & Chandon, this renowned sparkling house does hospitality as well as it does bubbly, boasting stylish visitor activities like daily cocktail tour & tasting outings (3:30pm), viewings of rotating artwork exhibitions by local artists, and "Bright Eyed and Bubbly" food and wine pairings in the spot's chic tasting lounge.
1 California Dr., Yountville, CA 94599 * (707) 944-2280

bellWineCellars.jpgBell Wine Cellars
Once you've perked up your palate with some bubbly at Chandon, head south on Washington Street to wrap up your day at Bell Wine Cellars, a welcoming producer of a wide variety of white and red wines from the Napa Valley.  Open daily from 10am to 4pm, Bell offers standard tastings as well as more adventurous options including "Grape to Glass" tours, clonal tastings, library tastings and blending seminars.  For special events, visitors can look forward to unwinding on the winery's spacious patio, enjoying treats from its outdoor kitchen and "competing" with pals on its well maintained bocce courts.  Special Tasting Offer
