I've always admired second-generation Napa vintner Judd Finkelstein's penchant for marching to his own beat.  Whether playing the ukulele in his wine country band, The Maikai Gents Featuring The Mysterious Miss Mauna Loa , or producing award-winning Cabs at his family's Judd's Hill winery, Finkelstein doesn't do things the typical wine country way.  And so when I bumped into his wife, Holly, several weeks ago at Premiere Napa Valley at the CIA Greystone in St. Helena, I was thrilled to hear that Judd has undertaken a refreshingly "out there" new adventure: an online wine show featuring his family's winery and his very own brand of quirky humor.
Eccentric, Fun & On the Go
With a tagline like "Eccentric, fun and on the go - it's Judd's Enormous Wine Show," it's not difficult to envision the imaginative take on wine Judd offers up in the two episodes he's produced so far. A graduate of The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication at Arizona State University, Judd has a natural knack for timing, and the production quality is excellent as far as wine videos go. To that end, the first episode introduces Judd, narrator, and the rest of the cast, comprised of - who else? - a slew of staff members at Judd's Hill winery in Napa. Everyone from cellar workers to bookkeepers to the director of marketing is included, making for a truly ensemble wine country cast.  And with two episodes already wrapped and more on the way, there's sure to be a lot more laughs - and behind-the-scenes peeks into winery workings - coming soon. Thanks, Judd!
