Earth Day Food & Wine Festival Weekend
April 20-21, 2012 at Pomar Junction Vineyard & Winery

April 9 -- Clash of the Sommeliers @ Farmhouse Inn

Farmhouse Wine Director Geoff Kruth has announced an exciting new format for the 2012 Farmhouse Wine Dinner Series: Clash of the Sommeliers. Top Sommeliers from all over the Bay Area will compete in pairing wines with four course menus featuring unique seasonal ingredients, with guests voting during each of four evenings.

The annual Sonoma International Film Festival promises to include new independent films from around the world. Film presentations at a variety of venues including the Historic Sebastiani Theatre on the Sonoma Town Plaza will include feature length narratives, documentaries, shorts and a student film program.

HEALDSBURG, Calif. -- Healdsburg's "Epicurean Winter" heads into its third and final month with events dedicated entirely to pork and pinot noir, consecutive barrel tasting weekends and even a chance to dine, drink and donate to benefit the region's renowned Healdsburg Jazz Festival. The affordable, off-season lodging packages, regional dinner specials and wine pairings that have been a part of "Epicurean Winter" from its January 1 launch continue through March 31 as Healdsburg showcases its culinary bounty.

Healdsburg lies in at the intersection of three celebrated appellations - Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, and the Russian River Valley - making it the ideal location for wine lovers to sample some of the best wine in the state. Now in its 34th year, this event gives ticket holders the chance to experience private winery tours, taste new wines from the barrel, and sample tasting-room-only and limited production wines.
