Livermore: Annual Harvest Wine Celebration

livermoreWineHarvestFest_2012.jpgThe 2012 Livermore Valley Harvest Wine Celebration marks the 31st year that people have gathered over Labor Day Weekend to enjoy the fruit of the vines in one of California's oldest wine regions.

Local wineries will offer Livermore Valley's best wine, food, art and music Sunday, September 2 and Monday, September 3 between noon and 5 p.m. Join the fun and festivities and don't forget to purchase tickets early ($55 in advance for 2 day celebration or $65 at the event.

Make it a vacation this Labor Day Weekend in Livermore Wine Country! On top of wine tasting at the festival in Livermore, the Tri-Valley area offers several places to stay and restaurants to dine.. While the ladies do a little shopping or indulge with a spa treatment as the fellas take advantage of the golf scene with courses at Wente Vineyard, Poppy Ridge Golf Course or Callippe Preserve.

Saint Mary's College and the Alumni Association invite you to campus for an afternoon of wine tasting, delicious appetizers and fun at the Soda Center. Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction support student scholarships at Saint Mary's.

August 18 -- Country Band and BBQ

Country music by "Cowboy Bill" and a "BYOM" (Bring Your Own Meal) BBQ! We supply the grill with hot coals! Bring your grilling food and side dishes, plates, and utensils. Wine and beverages will be available for purchase. Call for more information at (925) 373-6636. Fee is $5 p/person. No outside alcohol permitted.

August 23, 2012 -- Art & Wine Festival

Enjoy a fun-filled evening of local art, wine tasting, small bites from Danville restaurants, the latest offerings from our shops, live music, a commemorative wine glass and trolley rides during the 9th Annual Art and Wine Stroll in Danville. Select businesses will stay open late to host some of our area's finest wines as you stroll throughout downtown Danville, Danville Livery and Rose Garden Shops, enjoy live music and beautiful forms of art throughout the evening. Artists from the Danville Alamo Artists Society will be on hand to discuss their works as well as those in the Blackhawk Gallery.
