... Napa Valley Open Studios tour ...been going on for 23 years (!) and involves 70 juried artists (out of 400 living in Napa county). The Open Studios tour is ALWAYS the last two weekends in September, it's free, and draws hundreds, if not thousands of people (alas away from the wineries) to the artists studios. You can purchase or commission art directly from the artists, watch their process, and get to see beautiful homes and studios not otherwise open to the public. Wow, ART!!!!
