Michael Polenske, the Bay Area native who brought us "a life aesthetic" with Yountville's gorgeous Ma(i)sonry - which marries limited-production wines with expertly curated art and furnishings in a stylishly restored 1904 stone building - has added to his art ensemble with the purchase of I. Wolk Galleries.  The acquisition brings I. Wolk's three galleries (St. Helena, Auberge du Soleil, Mac Arthur Place) into partnership with Ma(i)sonry, further articulating the multi-faceted aesthetic vision that art and antiques-loving Polenske has pledged to bring to life in Wine Country.
All Together Now
To fĂȘte the new union, there will be a multi-venue art, wine and hors d'oeuvres reception this Friday, February 26, at both I. Wolk's St. Helena location (5-7pm) and Yountville's Ma(i)sonry (6:30-8:30pm).  Guests are invited to meet and mingle with artists including Guissepe Palumbo, Matt Rogers, Brett Price and Melissa Chandon, and preview works by other artists that make up the venues' rotating collections of contemporary paintings, works on paper and small to medium scale sculpture.  Additional upcoming gallery events include Zahid Sardar at Ma(i)sonry to celebrate his new book, New Garden Design - Inspiring Private Paradises (March 14) and a Kendall Conrad and Liseanne Frank Jewelry Trunk Show (March 21).
