October 31 -- Trick or Treat on Main Street
Family Fun: Historic Main Street merchants will provide goodies to trick-or-treaters (while supplies last) in a safe and convenient environment. Sponsored by Historic Main Street merchants. Throughout the festival, local farmers will be selling their fall harvest along with unique craft and food vendors. Kids activities, pumpkin painting, carnival games and entertainment.

October 17-18 -- Ukiah Country Pumpkinfest: "Pumpkinfest goes Hollywood"
Festival, Family Fun: The Country Pumpkinfest blends a Harvest and Music Festival into the Halloween holiday in this annual two-day event. Enjoy haunted house, beer and wine tasting, arts & crafts, free children's activities, 3-on-3 hoop tourney, Scout-O'-Rama, pet costume contest, Scarecrow City and pumpkin pie bake-off. MONTEREY

October 31 -- 6th Annual Pumpkin Pandemonium & Community Trick-or-Treat
Family Fun: This celebration combines family, friends and the community trick-or-treating in a safe environment. Farmer Mike, a true "Picasso of Pumpkin Carvers," will reveal the 3-dimensional face "hidden" in the side of a magnificent Heavy Weight Champion Pumpkin weighing over 700 pounds. Costumed children are invited to have their photo taken with the Giant Pumpkin, and parents should be sure to bring their cameras. Scott Campbell Photography will provide a free 4x6 photo with a donation to the Monterey County Food Bank.

The Hopland Passport will be held Oct 24 and 25 from 11 am to 5 pm daily. Cost is $35 per person, designated drivers are free. 11 wineries in and around Hopland are participating with food, music, events (weather permitting) and sales. I've never taken part in organized Halloween parties. We usually gather with my friends and prepare everything in advance - food, costumes for the kids, decoration. We always have great fun and lots of photos to laugh at.
