acmeWines.jpgST. Helena, CA - Psst!  One of Napa's best-kept secrets is no longer quite so hush hush. Acme Fine Wines (acmefinewines.com) - Karen Williams' and David Stevens' cult-popular St. Helena wine shop - has moved from its cramped signless location to a legitimate retail store complete with temperature-controlled storage lockers, a wine tasting bar and new staff on hand to help steer walk-ins towards the hard-to-find bottles Acme is famous for.
St. Helena Star
Started in 2003, Acme's owners quickly gained a loyal following thanks to their penchant for seeking out small production Napa Valley wines that rarely make their way onto store shelves.  Many of their "finds" - like the wildly popular Scarecrow wines - have gone on to enjoy cult status.  And with just 250 selections, the new space designed by Michael Roche offers a sleek environment for valley visitors to treasure hunt for the next big thing, be it a Napa Cab or one of the spot's new international selections.  Wine shopping just got a whole lot more adventurous.

Open daily 10am-5pm.  1080 Fulton Lane, St. Helena, CA
