FOOD & WINE PAIRING: Cranberry and Orange Scones w/ Champagne

KORBEL toasts moms all week with a daily brunch recipe to delight!

Wine Pairing: KORBEL Sweet Cuvee
  • 1 C dried cranberries
  • Zest of two oranges
  • 5 C cake flour
  • 3 T. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ C sugar
  • 6 oz. butter
  • 2-1/2 C half and half cream (appx.)

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Place cranberries, orange zest, flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and butter in mixing bowl and mix well.
  • Pour in 2 cups cream and gently mix, add a little more cream as needed to make a nice dough.
  • Shape the dough into two circles about 8 inches in diameter. Cut into 8 wedges, bake about 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
