Ramekins Culinary School in Sonoma
From butchery to Mexican tamales, plan a culinary getaway to Sonoma Wine Country and spend your summer evenings learning new tricks, tips, and culinary techniques. With the addition of TASTE, a complimentary wine tasting event complete with tasty bites and good company, guests are invited to relax, unwind, and enjoy the warm nights.

Summer Tamales with Agustín Gaytá
June 1, 6:30-9:30p.m., $100

Using the techniques and ingredients of his childhood, Chef Gaytá demonstrates how to prepare Mexico's oldest dish, the tamale. Students are encouraged to master the basics, then add their own concepts and experiment with a variety of flavors. From savory to succulent, dishes include Tamales de Mariscos (Shrimp and Scallops with Butternut Squash Wrapped in Swiss Chard and Served with Habañero Salsa) and Tameles Dulces de Coco (Sweet Coconut with Vanilla Cream Sauce). Join Ramekins for a glass of wine, wood-fired pizza, and local music in the beautiful courtyard. TASTE will feature complimentary tastings by some of the region's favorite wine purveyors - including Ram's Gate  Winery, Scribe, Long Meadow Ranch, and Audelssa - in addition to wines by the glass, beer, and specialty cocktails. A small farmer's market will offer fresh goodies from Ramekins' own 5th Street Farms. Be sure to stop by with friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors to get an early jump on the weekend. Children are welcome.

"Eat My Curry, Chicken!" with Ranjan Dey
June 7, 6:30-9:30p.m., $95

Please join Chef Ranjan Dey of the famed New Delhi restaurant in San Francisco for a fun, light-hearted introduction to Indian cooking. Using two different cooking methods, Chef Dey will demonstrate the basics steps of making traditional Indian curry. Featured curry recipes include Basic Chicken Curry, Quick Chicken Curry, and Tomato Chutney. Register for Class!

Provençal Tarts with Greg & Mary Schramer of Tresor Cuisine

6:30pm - 9:30pm., $95

Greg and Mary Schramer are the Chefs and co-owners of Tresor Cuisine, an online French pastry business in Petaluma, California. Classically trained at The French Culinary Institute in New York, and in the Brittany and Provence regions of France, chefs Greg and Mary come to Ramekins to share their love of French food...in particular, their passion for Provençal cuisine. This class will demonstrate how to make three key French tart doughs or "Pâtes": Pâte Sablée, Pâte Sucrée, and Pâte Briseé. You'll learn how to make delectable savory and sweet Provençal tarts using fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables...reminiscent of summer in Provence.  Ideal for summer entertaining! Dinner on the Italian Riviera w/ Lisa Lavagetto
July 21, 6:30pm - 9:30pm., $95

The Italian Riviera is known for its favorable climate, the beauty of its landscape and flavorful, rustic cuisine. Join Chef Lisa Lavagetto for a delicious dinner menu inspired by this locale. Students will enjoy learning techniques and delectable flavor combinations that will amaze their next dinner guests. Register for Class!

Summer in Paris with Pierre Lagourgue
August 24, 11:00am - 2:00pm., $90

Envision yourself in Paris at an outdoor café in the 5th arrondissement, sipping a cool glass of wine and embarking upon a leisurely meal. Using subtle spices and cooking techniques Chef Lagourgue creates a menu of delicate, yet indulgent foods. Enjoy the afternoon as you relish in each dish and allow yourself the pleasure of dining as Europeans do.
