This delicious recipe is easy to make and perfect for Valentine's Day. Enjoy with Kenwood Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon. Planning a getaway in celebration of romance this month? - 10 ozs. semi sweet (60%-70% cocoa)* chocolate (chopped small) <photo id="1" />
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup Kenwood Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon
- 6 T heavy cream
- 1 ¼ cup confectioners sugar (sifted)
Directions:
In a small saucepan heat the wine and reduce until you have 4 tablespoons. Melt chocolate along with the butter and wine reduction. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in cream and powdered sugar. Pour into a glass baking dish. Cover and chill over night. Use a Scoop to portion truffles and roll to desired balls. Roll in following mixture to coat. Place in a paper candy cup if desired.
Sift Together
**Use the best quality chocolate you can find. Chocolate chips will not work well for this recipe.
